Memorial Meeting 2011
We invite you to join us for our annual Memorial Meeting and Candle Lighting as we gather together and honor the memory of our babies.
Meeting Dates:
North County: October 5th
Temecula/South Riverside County: October 12th
San Diego/East County: October 19th
Each October we take the opportunity to honor and celebrate our precious babies. We celebrate them because their presence and their passage has made a difference in our lives.
We invite you to bring any memorial items that you wish to share, including pictures, blankets, memorial albums, shadow boxes, jewelry, or anything that you hold dear as a remembrance of your baby(ies).
During the service, we will read some poems and listen to some inspiring music. We invite you to bring a favorite poem or a poem or letter that you would like to share with the group.
We look forward to sharing this special evening with you.

2011 Empty Cradle Walk to Remember
A Walk to Remember honors our babies, and seeks to promote support, education and awareness for grieving parents. The annual Walk to Remember memorial service, balloon release and walk is a touching and wonderful memorial to our babies.

Shirt registration orders are closed. We are offering special rates for last minute walkers and for walkers who have their own shirts.

New Support Meetings Coming to San Diego North County Inland
Empty Cradle has joined forces with The Elizabeth Hospice Center for Compassionate Care to provide a new support group that will meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. These meetings are open to parents who have experienced a loss during or shortly after pregnancy due to miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death or SIDS. The meetings will also provide support to those who are facing an impending fetal or neonatal loss.
The new meetings will be a slightly different format than our other groups that meet throughout the month, as they will be co-facilitated by a trained grief specialist from Hospice and an experienced peer counselor from Empty Cradle.
Our hope is to provide another resource in the community in which grieving parents may turn to for support, while collaborating with Hospice to bring their expertise in the area of surviving, healing, and living life after a loss.
The new meetings will be held in the Office of the Center for Compassionate Care of the Elizabeth Hospice, which is located at 930 Canterbury Place Escondido, Ca. 92025 - View street map at MapQuest. We will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
Empty Cradle is an organization run entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers donate their precious time and energy in order to help the organization continue to provide support and services to bereaved parents and the community. Many of our resource parents find that volunteering is a good way to “parent” their lost little one(s).
Once a year, the Empty Cradle Organization says thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers with a luncheon in honor of their dedication to the organization.
Thanks so much to all of our volunteers! Your commitment and dedication to the organization continues to bring hope to our members!

Volunteer Training - Parents Helping Parents
Empty Cradle is a non-profit volunteer organization. We rely on our volunteers to keep the organization going and to help provide the services we offer. If you have been thinking about giving something back to our organization, we would like to invite you to become part of the Empty Cradle Volunteer team. Board Meetings
Our board meetings are held four times per year in order to plan the next 3 months of activities, make decisions, create new services and report on existing services. All members are welcome to attend the board meetings.
