Rancho Springs Hospital Memorial Garden

The Memorial Garden at Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta was established in 2020 through a heartfelt collaboration between hospital nurses, a local Eagle Scout who brought the vision to life, and funding provided by Empty Cradle. Thoughtfully designed, the garden offers a peaceful and reflective space for bereaved families to pause, remember, and find comfort.

Families are invited to select a painted stone and lovingly add their baby’s name to the memorial rock garden, creating a lasting tribute in a place of quiet remembrance.

Empty Cradle proudly continues to support the ongoing care and maintenance of the Memorial Garden. In 2026, we look forward to revitalizing and rededicating this special space, reaffirming our commitment to honoring babies gone too soon and the families who love them.

We invite families to support the revitalization of our Memorial Garden by making a donation or creating a fundraiser in honor of their baby. Families who donate or raise $100 or more will be recognized on a Memorial Garden plaque that will be permanently placed in the garden, honoring their generosity and lasting connection to this special space.

Rock Decorating Events

Families are invited to decorate a memorial rock for the Rancho Springs Hospital Memorial Garden. Completed rocks may be dropped off at our Temecula Support Meeting, held on the second Monday of every month. Please visit our calendar for specific times and locations.

Rocks should be decorated using acrylic paint and feature faith-neutral designs such as flowers, butterflies, or nature. We encourage leaving space for a baby’s name or a short, loving message for bereaved parents.

Rock decorating is also offered at select in-person support meetings. Details, including dates, times, and locations, are shared on our social media pages. During these meetings, families have the opportunity to decorate a rock in memory of their own baby to be placed in the Memorial Garden.

High school students seeking community service hours are welcome to participate. Please contact Rachel at Rachel@EmptyCradle.org for more information.
