Our monthly group meetings provide a forum for the open discussion of feelings and concerns. Parents are free to share in whatever way is most comfortable for them. Although there are no simple answers to the complex emotions surrounding the death of a baby, mutual reassurance is obtained in the group setting. Our meetings are open to loss parents only and are all inclusive. We do not allow children at any meetings whether virtual or in-person.
We offer 3 in-person peer support meetings and 4 virtual peer support meetings via Zoom per month.

At this month's meeting we will have a guest speaker during the first half of the meeting. We are grateful that Janet Jaffe, Ph.D., has graciously agreed to speak this coming Wednesday. After Dr. Jaffe speaks we will have time for open sharing. Following is some information about our guest speaker.
Dr. Janet Jaffe, clinical psychologist, has devoted her career to helping others navigate the pitfalls and anguish that can occur on the road to parenthood. She works with patients in private practice, has trained countless mental health professionals in the US and internationally, and has written and lectured extensively on the topic, both for professionals and patients. Not only is she informed by years of academic scholarship, but also from her personal experience. She knows from the inside what it means to want to build a family, and what happens when those hoped for dreams come crashing down – whether due to miscarriage, stillbirth, infertility, or other neonatal trauma. She also knows what it takes to move forward and rebuild from these unimaginable losses.

San Diego Support Meeting
Join us for our East County support meeting for pregnancy and infant loss support. Loss parents and their support persons are welcome to attend. Adults only please. Our east county July meeting will be a free healing event instead of open sharing. We begin with a simple 35-minute sound bath for healing led by Nazli Takesh Boshell. Nazli will use Singing bowls, gongs, and chimes to create soothing sound waves. It is an uncomplicated way to quiet your mind, meditate or to let the music speak to you. You are encouraged to bring a mat/blanket or towel to lie on. Afterwards, we will share our experience. Please plan on arriving a few minutes early. Any questions please contact Amy Donahue.
